This is how you organize your NEON event
A NEON protest can start very small, even with just one sign and a Bluetooth speaker. And if you already have a few people, you can begin with a larger event right away.

A small NEON protest is always better than none.
One sign, a Bluetooth speaker, and your determination to make the animals visible are more than enough. Stand there, play the music with vegan messages, talk to people, or start a short livestream. You’ll reach people and might even find new supporters for your next protest. And the best part? You don’t even have to register it.
Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Just be radical, loud, and vegan!

At the event
A NEON protest is strongest when everyone feels safe and knows exactly what’s happening. Your Unit doesn’t need perfection, it needs clear guidance and a sense of security. Do not bring any other animals. The protest is loud, stressful and unsafe for them.
Wear black clothing, red accents are allowed. Vegan prints are welcome as long as they are clearly abolitionist and animal-focused. No environmental or health messaging, no political demands and no promotion of animal-exploiting organizations. Activated vegans may join spontaneously even if they are not fully dressed in black. If you prefer not to wear a NEON mask while holding signs, you can use a black scarf, cloth or suitable head covering instead, as long as at least half of your face is covered.
Recordings of speeches may only be published on NEON profiles with the explicit consent of the speakers.
The public may be filmed freely. Children must always be blurred in editing.
Children may join and hold signs, but only while wearing a mask. Masks are also required for children in all group photos. Everything else is decided by the on-site organizer for child safety.
Handle all materials and props with care.
Do not bring unnecessary bags or items so the protest area stays clear and organized.
No alcohol or other drugs before or during the protest.
In case of conflicts, police situations or medical incidents, stay calm and follow the organizers’ instructions. Impulsive reactions or hero moments put everyone at risk.
General decisions are made by the on-site organizers. Any discussions are handled afterwards in a calm setting.
